In our prime...
is a website dedicated to those of us who are in our prime.
I’m talking about women who are of “a certain age” and are coping with all the stresses and strains that go with it. We are juggling a job, running a home, being a parent, maybe even a grandparent, as well as being a daughter to an elderly parent.
Alongside this we may be menopausal (men just have no idea!) And talking of men, we may have a wonderful husband, a terrible or an ex-husband, or be single and wondering what we’ve missed.
All in all our lives can be very complicated, and yet we are at a time of life when we should be able to enjoy all the benefits of being in our prime.
We are no longer suffering the uncertainties of adolescence, or the weary nights of early motherhood; our bodies haven’t yet run full tilt into decline and decay—well, not on a good day, at any rate—and we have acquired the confidence that comes from the wealth of life experience behind us.
So, at this enviable time of life, how come we’re so tired, stressed, and worn down by life?
Well, look back at the first paragraph and it’s perfectly clear. Our lives are so full and so many demands can be made of us by a wide range of people that it’s hardly surprising.
But I want to make the most of my life despite - no - because of all the people that mean a lot to me! So this website is all about finding a way through that quagmire to reach a place where we can truly enjoy who we are.
This can be achieved through a variety of means. These include finding ways of:
- running the home more effortlessly
- handling the family more efficiently
- managing finances more effectively
- utilising time saving tools more efficaciously (?!) and
- celebrating our achievements more extravagantly!
And believe me when I say I haven’t got this sorted myself! So will you join me on a journey towards achieving all this?
